Warehouse Management System (WMS)

Material Flow Control Systems – MFCS

The theoretical capacities of a complex automated warehousing system comprising a multitude of separate hardware (cranes, conveyors, sorters, turn-tables, transfer units, lifts, pick-by-voice etc.) can only be achieved through harmonious operation of all elements of the system. AKTUR’s MFS software developed in-house manages, controls, and optimizes the flow of materials and information within the automated warehousing solutions system.

Portal Applications

The portal includes screens whereby the customer and AKTUR staff shares the same set of information online. This provides a means of customer supervision over AKTUR’s operations, leaving no room for error.

Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems

Automated storage and retrieval systems are robotic systems, which store a load (pallet, plastic bin or carton box) to pre-determined storage locationsand retrieve from these locations, when required. According to operational requirements, AKTUR, is using the models of ASRS systems, which handle pallets and plastic bins , in their current operations in order to reduce operational costs and to increase service quality by providing efficiency in the processes. The advantages that ASRS applications provide for AKTUR customers:

  1. Reducing storage spaces: By means of this system, which requires less aisle space and enables to store in higher racks , the product amount stored in a unit space increases approximately 2.5 times, comparing to conventional storage methods.
  2. Reducing Costs: Since storing and retrieving out of racks is done fully automated with this system, the stacking machine operators, used in conventional warehouses, are no longer needed. By reducing the equipment and operators, the risk of industrial accidents are inherently reduced.
  3. Reducing throughput cycle times: When compared to equipment performances used in conventionalsystems, the cycle time required to store the products on racksor retrieve from the racks is reduced by approximately 80% with this system.
  4. Minimizing the risk of errors: After the system is installed, the operation is free from risks and errors that may occur due to human factor and thus both inventory accuracy and accuracy rate of order preparation almost reaches up to 100%.
  5. Address optimization: The system, in idle times, carries the fast moving items to the addresses closedto exits by following the defined algorithms, so that the items could be retrieved faster.
RF Hand Terminal

RF hand terminal provides the staff to receive work orders from the system in relation to the processes within the warehouse and to enter the results into the system in relation to the work completed. These terminal provides workers to connect WMS at any process in the warehousewithout using any PC terminal, by the way physical activities in the warehouse and the records of these activities in WMS are managed in real time .
